Genevieve Goings brings a new angle to the entertainment industry. You may have heard her voice while playing a video game, or may have heard her sing alongside a hip-hop star. You may have seen her on television while you are watching with your children, wondering WHO this girl is! Wherever you have seen or heard her, most likely you wanted to see or hear more.
Genevieve began her career in hip-hop music in the SF Bay Area. Featured on dozens of albums and live performances the artist never turned down an opportunity to create music. This hunger developed a wide range of style as her discography grew to include R&B, House, Rock, Hip-hop, dancehall, children’s music and more. She created group “LEGATO” with producer Roland Apikelis, a Piano player, composer, and former dancer for Prince . The duo released a self-titled album together in 2004 and toured the west coast accompanied by a band. The music was described at the time as neo-soul, with electronic undertones. Genevieve’s ability to poetically and rhythmically translate emotions blended smoothly with Roland’s production style and the duo enjoyed a constant demand for performance.
Genevieve’s undying love for hip-hop remained and she simultaneously created a female hip-hop/soul duo called “CHEMISTRY”, with San Francisco artist Cait La Dee. The two performed constantly around the Bay Area showcasing their amazing “chemistry” as the two would sing powerful melodies in perfect harmony over producer Gennessee ‘s hip-hop beats. Through this group, Genevieve found her Both Genevieve and Cait La Dee continued to write together as well as writing for other artists on projects.
During her many sessions in studios across the Bay Area, Genevieve was asked to audition her voice for a character in a video game. The video game developer for this project would one day become creator of what is now Playhouse Disney’s Choo Choo Soul –with Genevieve!
As her star continues to rise it is anyone’s guess as to where Genevieve’s talents will lead her. As 2008 approaches she is in negotiation for new tours, television spots and songwriting projects. Stay tuned for more news!

New Release: Diversity Personified
Genevieve crosses all genres. With a smooth and honest R&B singing style paired with Hip-hop and conscious lyrical content, this album brings upbeat dance songs as well as deep ballads to succumb to any mood. Nearly every track on the album features live musicians mixed with hard-hitting beats. Fans of all ages and all musical tastes have come to appreciate her universal sound. Genevieve can currently be seen and heard on the Disney Channel on a new music video show called “Choo Choo Soul”, a Children’s Hip-Ho/Soul music project of which she is a co-creator. The album is cleverly titled "Diversity Personified", clearly a play on not only her exotic ethnic mixture, but her ability to efferlessly transcend genres.

Co-Creator of Choo Choo Soul, a full-length Children's Album that was purchased by Disney and made into short music video clips which have been airing on the Disney Channel daily for the past 8 months in hopes of becoming a full time tv show or video/dvd series.
