Genevieve's Voiceover demo
Featured on a multitude of video, PC downloadable, and interactive games, Genevieve has found her nitch in the voiceover industry. Being a recording artist in the hip-hop/R&B market, Genevieve has the capability of channeling urban up-to-date cadences and pronunciation. 6 years in corporate America helped to blend those skills with the well spoken and grammatically correct diction necessary to crossover to commercial and educational products. The artists’ work in children’s television also adds to the demand for relatable, yet believable tones and style.
Beginning with X-BOX’s “ToeJam & Earl III, Mission to Earth”, Genevieve recorded over 10 character voices in the game, including three gospel singers who narrated at the start of each level. After completion of this game, Genevieve went on to work with the California based Childrens’ Learning Toy company LEAPFROG on their newest release; The “Fly” pentop computer. This talking pen can virtually comprehend what is written on the corresponding Leapfrog paper and can help with spelling, math, etc. Genevieve was the Lead voice in a new line of books that accompany the pen, in which her voice would prompt young users to write about various topics. After recording “My Diary”; a product geared toward young girls prompting them to write about their feelings, she was hired again to lead another book project called the “ Best Friends Kit”. She is also featured on the “Math Blasters” interactive series and several other small characters for the series,
In the PC downloadable game “Save The Dino’s” , Genevieve is the lead character – “Dee” the paleontologist. Along with this narrator voice, Genevieve leads the Q&A segment of the game, with a different character voice commenting on each answer option. Her sense of comedic timing and character creation is highly amusing in this learning-based game.
Hired by Lucas Arts, A George Lucas company, Genevieve plays the character “Sparks Victoria”, a female rapper who provides the background music in the new Thrillville ’07 video game.
